Florence Price was the first African American woman to be recognized as a symphonic composer. From choral pieces to symphonies, Florence Price composed over 300 works, and each one is as spectacularly beautiful as the next. Her works were suppressed for years due to her race and her gender, but now she is starting to get the recognition she deserves.
